Camp Host
GENERAL PURPOSE: The Camp Host will spend approximately 15/20 hours per week welcoming rental groups, providing light housekeeping/facility upkeep prior to the arrival of groups, and communicating with the Facilities Manager for any major maintenance projects or concerns with the property.
COMPENSATION: $500/week stipend for 12 weeks. Housing is not provided, but an RV pad with electric and sewer will be provided.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES ***(Employees are held accountable for all duties of this job)
Available when there are rental groups on property, primarily Friday-Sunday. This includes in-person check-ins for all groups and on call at all other times groups are on property.
Orient groups to the amenities and rules associated with their stay.
This includes monitoring fire bans, fire concerns, and forest conditions to implement a fire ban in collaboration with the Facility Manager and inform groups of such status.
Clean and stock cabins, latrines and unit shelters prior to group arrival and after group departure.
Perform basic maintenance, such as changing lightbulbs, minor repairs, pest control, trash collection etc.
Communicate with Facility Manager of any ongoing concerns such as clearing brush from trails and roads, drivability/condition of roads for most vehicles, as well as any emergency concerns with the property.
Other related duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Formal Training
- Highschool diploma/GED
- 1 year customer service/customer-facing role preferred.
- Basic housekeeping and maintenance skills
- Basic customer service skills and communication
- Ability to walk up to 2 miles per day
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check acceptable to GSCO standards.
- Must be able to work non-traditional hours including early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends.
